Come on out and be part of the first official event on our new Peter Schirr Memorial Stage. It’s been a long time coming but good things are worth waiting for.

At its August meeting, the Glen Board of Directors unanimously decided to name our new stage in honor of Peter Schirr who worked tirelessly over many years to raise funding for a new stage. On behalf of a grateful Glen community, we thank Peter and all who continue his efforts by contributing both time and dollars to ongoing stage-funding activities.

The CCC is proud to bring you another concert by donation, Aug 25, from 3-6. This time we are excited to bring you BroHamM, a Motown R&B group all the way from Seattle. They play to crowds of all ages so come on down and be entertained rain or shine. In our efforts to bring you the best of entertainment, the CCC would appreciate a nominal donation of $5 to help support this event and is payable on line (on the food voucher form) or you can pay at the event.

Kurly’s Kart will be back with his famous fries & poutine and donuts.

Back East BBQ is also back by popular demand offering pulled pork, smoked brisket and BBQ chicken plates and salads.

NIGHT ON THE TOWN, DINNER AND THE THEATER

The CCC is bringing you our first NITE-ON-THE-TOWN in Bellingham presenting La Cage aux Folles on Friday, September 7/18.

TICKETS for La Cage aux Folles are available to the public via on-line sale as of August 1 but we have reserved a block of seats in advance held until noon Aug 16 so in order to secure seats we must know by then. Tickets are $16.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors (63 & older). There are no taxes or surcharges applicable and all prices are in US$. All seats are reserved and all tickets are non-refundable.

DINNER before the show (optional). Those wishing to join our group for dinner before the show will meet at Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill. Many of us consider Anthony’s our favorite restaurant in the county. Better yet, with our early seating (being on time for the theater’s 7:30 pm curtain following a leisurely dinner requires us to be at the restaurant by 5pm and seated no later than 5:15), we qualify for their Early Bird Special — now a 4 course dinner at $24.95. The regular evening à la carte menu will also be available. The restaurant overlooks the yacht club in Bellingham Bay and is conveniently located less than 5 minutes from the theater. Please note: depending upon how many of us wish to meet at the restaurant for dinner, there is a possibility that we may exceed the number of seats available for a group booking. To ensure space is available for other patrons, the maximum group size that the restaurant can accommodate on this occasion will be 40. So, if you are looking forward to both dinner with the group and the show, please RSVP as soon as possible to ensure you have a seat at one of our Glen Group tables. Those unable to be accommodated at Anthony’s Hearthfire within our Glen Group reservation may wish to book individually with the restaurant. Alternately, several other quality restaurants are located within 5 minutes of the theater. Dinner costs are billed individually and paid at the restaurant.
