FABULOUS FUN
FOODIE FRIENDS
(F4) AT THE GLEN
A new & easy way to discover great dishes and food creations from Northwest sources while meeting new friends and neighbors at the Glen. Instead of cooking only, F4 members can shop creatively at different merchants. By choosing a readily prepared appetizer, entrée or dessert, we will reduce the labor and increase the fun. And we’ll discover delectable prepared foods from local merchants that we might not find on our own.
The idea behind F4 is to enable Glen members to try prepared foods from specific stores — and to find new stores and specialties. And while the emphasis is on convenience, we won’t have rules that limit creative input: you may choose to combine or otherwise tinker with prepared dishes to present them in new ways. But that’s up to you. Dishes right from the package will get you in to each event. Alternately, your dish can be homemade, frozen, reheated, take out or ask your neighbor to make it. Just bring food!
Our first F4 event will be:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28th
6:30pm at FIRESIDE LODGE
Our first night will be a ‘Costco’ theme.
Bring your favourite Costco meal item.
Salads, prepared entrees, deli meats, pastas, gravy and sauces on rice, pastas or meats. Frozen appetizers or a dessert.
Shop in Bellingham or Canada. Save the packaging to bring and place beside your dish. It will be like Costco sampling at the Glen. ( if you don’t have a Costco membership, they do issue one day guest passes)
Come meet, mingle and have a fun tasting adventure. Games and prizes. Adults only.
Bring your dish ready to serve, your own plate, cutlery, napkins and cups & beverages.
If you have any questions or to secure your spot, please Email me with the item you are bringing, so we don’t have too many duplicates.

LOOKING AHEAD, some themes we have planned will feature Trader Joe’s, Easy Eats, Alternative Appies, Favourite Frozens, your Best Pot Luck Dish, Munch & Movie, Tasty Takeouts, etc

The Children’s Christmas Party is December 2nd and the tickets will go on sale Sunday, October 29th at the Teen center (as it will always be to me) or the new name, Family Center. For those that volunteered for the Goodtimers January 1, 2017 through October 28th, 2017 the doors for Christmas tickets will open at 9 am. For everyone else the door will be open at 9:30am to 10:30am. Don’t wait for the tickets to go to the office. They sell out fast. The tickets are for Property owners and their kids or grandkids only. Please no extended family. We sell out every year and it isn’t right that some Property owner’s children miss out. In case they don’t sell out in the first week, the closing date for the Christmas tickets is Saturday November 11th end of business day. That gives me a week to get the list for Santa ready as we will be meeting with him November 17th to pick up the gifts and get them wrapped November 18th. All sales are final, no refunds. If you can’t make it we will hold the child(s) gift until you can come and get it. There is no swapping children if one can’t make it. Gifts are gender and age specific. Gifts are for children 0-12. A child targeted Lunch is also provided.
