Power Outage
The Glen experienced a power outage last night at approximately 3:30AM. The issue came from outside The Glen and we’re thankful Puget Sound Energy was able to fix the problem.
The outage affected our Black phase which includes: Division 1 Lots 1-34, 161-206 Division 2 Lots 1-29, 79-112 Division 4 Lots 58-98, 156-180 Division 6 Lots 1-62, 83-171, 187-213, 226-230 Fireside Lodge & Riverside Lodge
As of 10AM, power has been restored to the entire Glen!
Burn Ban starts July 12
At 8AM tomorrow morning the Whatcom County Fire Marshall is instituting a Stage 1 burn ban on all open burning. Please see the link below:

In conjunction with the Fire Marshal, The Glen will be under a full Burn Ban Status starting at 8AM tomorrow, July 12th.
This means NO campfires, chainsaw use, charcoal use, or outdoor tiki torches.
You are allowed approved propane fireplaces at this time. Please refer to Administration Policy 280.5 for further information.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the Office or Security.
Please help make The Glen as safe as possible for the rest of the summer!
P.S. The Glen does not meet the requirements for recreational campfires as described on the Fire Marshal’s website.

If you’d like to help with the Teen Pool Party on July 27th, are interested in creating a babysitters list, or in planning fun future events, come join us! I should know. I joined the new Goodtimers, knowing nobody, and after just one month and one event, my friend group has expanded exponentially! Please note: Disc Golf Tournament will be re-scheduled to a later date.
GLASS WORKSHOP July 27, 2-4 Fireside Lodge Get ready for Christmas now with your own handcrafted ornament. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at working with glass now is your chance. Come out and be creative with our glass workshop put on by a skilled artisan that will allow you to make some jewelry, keychains or Christmas ornaments. You will learn how to fuse glass and how to cut and stack it to make your own unique pieces. The cost of the workshop is $40 to cover the cost of the glass, findings (attachments) and the kiln firing for 2 pieces.
